Shirehampton Primary Care Centre replaces the existing Health Centre in Pembroke Road with the benefit of expanding the current site by acquiring an adjacent piece of land. The new building has been planned for some time to replace the existing overcrowded facilities and to allow improvement in the standard and range of health services being offered to patients.

The development at Shirehampton required the existing doctors' surgery to move into a temporary building on the land adjacent to its current location while the old building was demolished.

This development provides appropriate accommodation for a range of healthcare services, including:

• 2 x GP practices with a total of 12 GPs
• Midwifery
• Community Nursing
• Podiatry
• Drugs service
• Counselling
• Medical student training
• Pharmacy
